6 Days to GP!!!

oh shit crap. there's only 6 days left. but i felt obligated to just update abit here. this will definitely be the last time i'm updating my blog, till maybe after A's. My last paper ends on the 15th of November. haha...ok, let me talk a little about last saturday. I went to watch Death Note!!! well, of course you might be saying that I'm having A's so shouldn't go running about. However, i really really wanted to watch this show. I loved the comic, so i really wanted to see whether the movie is as good. So, i went to watch the show with my 漫画快餐 people. well, as a movie itself, the show is really nice. But from the perspective of a comic reader, i think it somewhat changed too much of the original comic storyline. it depicts Light as a horrible idiot. At least i did hope that Light will win when i read the comic, now, i just hope that that sucker lose in the movie. Futhermore, Light is suppose to be a very very intelligent guy. The movie just fails to give me this feeling; the outward presentation of Light in the movie is just a normal guy with maybe a little wits. This is important because the show is a fight between two intelligent guys. anyway, other than this, as a movie itself it is still ok.
anyway, since then i've been preparing for my A's. Unfortunately, the air-conditioner in the school library on tuesday had me frozen. Now i'm down with influenza. T_T ok, i'm no longer having fever nor sore throat, but it's just the nose that has been running on non-stop with thunder-like headaches affecting my thinking. >_< this is the worst condition that i had ever been in while preparing for cambridge examinations. urgh.

Class BBQ

Remember that i've just briefly mentioned about my class gathering last saturday? Well, the photos are out. I couldn't put up all but it's better than nothing. besides, i feel that i've already put up quite a lot of photos already.
Well, just a quick recap. Last Saturday our class had our very first successful class gathering. It's a BBQ session at the Bukit Panjang Park. Enjoy the photos!
Ok, this happens to be the first photo. (i randomly upload them.) They are my class guys. well, nothing much to say here. from the right is Yi Sin, Chang Yong and Darren, the hand belongs to Joe Wei.

Busy on Friday and Saturaday. No time to study!

Friday was the Achievers' Night which was held at the Singapore Polytechnic Graduation Guild. It really looks like a country club. Can't really imagine some place like that is part of a school campus. The ball room is on the 3rd floor, but the lobby is on the 2nd floor. Sounds weird right? This is just because the 1st floor is the swimming pool. If you do not understand what I mean then it's ok, it's not that important to know the leveling system.Anyway, we had our Farewell Assembly on in the early afternoon. This assembly is an official dismissal of the J2s from school days. That is that the J2s will no longer need to sing the nation athem. We are 'free' from school from Friday onwards. However, of course, it is our study period and we'll still need to go back to school for consultations. The assembly was really fun. We had our VP singing, our teachers dancing and video clips and photos of us. Everything just nicely set a full stop to our official school days.
In the afternoon, I went home to prepare myself for the Achievers' Night. I've also went to the hair dresser to style my hair a bit for the formal occasion. Then, the CDS girls met up at Yvon's house for make-up. We are almost late even after we took a taxi down. Can you imagine how slow we are putting the make-up?
For the Night, we listened to a rather boring and supposedly inspiring talk by the GOH. After that, it' my favourite, the buffet dinner starts! The food was rather nice. Had fried rice, noodels,beef slice, bean curd vegetables, fried fillet, Japanese fried prawn,siew mai. All looked quite ok. However, the fun part about the Night is that we've managed to play the playground beside the pool. haha...
Today, i had GP mock examinations in the early morning. then after that in the evening, we had a class BBQ session.it's fun but it's really late. I've just reached home. Very tired now so didn't want to talk more. nights!

Achievers' Night

Coming this friday, my school is having the Achievers' Night.The Achievers' Night is a celebration for those who has attained an award for the school this year. And of course, my CCA is being invited to attend the celebration. In case you don't know, my CCA, the Chinese Drama Society, has emerged 2nd with a Gold with Honors award in the 9th inter-school chinese short-play drama competition earlier this year. It is held at the Singapore Polytechnic Graduation Guild 6pm with the head of CCA in the MOE, Mr Chew, as our Guest-Of-Honour. Cool right?
However, the problem comes when we are required to wear FORMAL attire.

Anyway, after all the trouble of consulting both my friends and my family members, I've ended up with a black gown that goes with a brown cardigan plus a pair of high heels. hmmm, hope it's ok. all of them said it's ok so i think it's ok. (i don't have a lot of feelings towards this kind of things.) Hope the Achievers' Night will be a nice occasion. It's like a relief from my cramming. haha

Horrible Haze...

the haze has been so horrible lately. think the situation is as bad as the previous haze singapore encountered. >_<i'm down with eye irritation no matter how much eye mo is put. my throat is constantly dry and itchy even though i constantly drink my 1 litre water bottle. my spectacles are always dirty at the end of the day despite the fact that i washed it every morning.
the sad thing is that i think the haze has gone worse not solely because of greater wind blowing towards singapore from indonesia, but partly because of the mooncake festival that we've just celebrated. lantern, candles, sparkles, matchsticks etc. used almost nation wide at approximately the same time. no wonder the haze got worse.
anyway, take care of your health. especially those having examinations soon.

Went to SPH today

"i thought you are supposed to stop going to SPH already? " my mum asked."it's my last meeting today." i replied.
well, can't blame my mum for asking me that question. i already have a lot of 'last' meetings. the last 中央 meeting, the last 出版 meeting, the last what ever meeting. however, they are always really the last of that meeting before my A levels. and today, it's the last CFF meeting.
there seems to be a lot of stuff to say over the meeting that made me obligated to attend. especially that today can be said as the first official CFF meeting for our new leader Pei Xuan to announce the plans of CFF next year. of course, as the new 漫画快餐 representative in 出版, i'll have to talk about the new format for 漫画达人. we will be putting 漫画达人 into 会讯. clever mentioned about the negative implications of such merger. however, end up we still went on with the plan. there is so much to discuss that i don't think we could finish everything by today. especially that we have quite a weak attendance today.
anyway, pei xuan went on to lead on the meeting. well, i felt kind of weird to be the one who don't talk and listen now. haha. maybe because i used to have to lead on the CFF team and make announcement. now, pei xuan has the responsibility, and i have now another new responsibility of a different nature but still kind of overlaps with what i used to do as a leader - to oversee the production of 漫画达人. that used to be the duty of the leader, but with me in 出版, the responsibility is now solely on me. hmmm, tough job yah?
of course, they won't allow me to just take charge of 漫画达人, being in the only 漫画快餐 member in 出版 limits me with no excuse to be on duty the whole of next year. well, that would mean i've got no chance of splitting my job with the other 出版 members. furthermore, to add on to my burden, i was allocated the job of planning the training sessions of the whole of 通讯员. yah, this is partly because i can't participate and oversee the quality of the production of the 会讯. so sad to say, the rest of the job will lies on me.
anyway, everything will start officially after my A levels. so, after announcing the stuff today, i'll be on hibernation. think i'll be damn active on SPH after my A's.
hmmm, for now, i can only say to myself:
"加油 加油 加油！"
