 Achievers' Night
8:06 PM
Coming this friday, my school is having the Achievers' Night.

The Achievers' Night is a celebration for those who has attained an award for the school this year. And of course, my CCA is being invited to attend the celebration. In case you don't know, my CCA, the Chinese Drama Society, has emerged 2nd with a Gold with Honors award in the 9th inter-school chinese short-play drama competition earlier this year. It is held at the Singapore Polytechnic Graduation Guild 6pm with the head of CCA in the MOE, Mr Chew, as our Guest-Of-Honour. Cool right?

However, the problem comes when we are required to wear FORMAL attire.

Definition of Formal: (adj.)
    1. Following or being in accord with accepted forms, conventions, or regulations
    2. Executed, carried out, or done in proper or regular form
    1. Characterized by strict or meticulous observation of forms; methodical
    2. Stiffly ceremonious
  1. Having the outward appearance but lacking in substance: a formal requirement that is usually ignored.
Oh God. How on Earth can I get those clothes??? In the end, I have to send an SOS to my mum. Luckily, my mum was a businesswomen, and is a working adult with the suitable clothes for THE occasion. yah, but the only hindrance is that my mum has an age that is older than me by 24 years old. Which means to say that her taste may not suit my age. It's not that she has bad taste, but it's that what suits her may not suits me. So I'm kind of worried that she will choose something that is totally off on me.

Anyway, after all the trouble of consulting both my friends and my family members, I've ended up with a black gown that goes with a brown cardigan plus a pair of high heels. hmmm, hope it's ok. all of them said it's ok so i think it's ok. (i don't have a lot of feelings towards this kind of things.) Hope the Achievers' Night will be a nice occasion. It's like a relief from my cramming. haha
