 So Far So Good
10:08 PM
well, now my life is back to a mundane process with nothing very exciting to talk about - the life of a normal office working adult. briefly speaking, i can just summarise my life as follows: mondays to fridays working 9am to 6pm, tuesdays and fridays having Jap lessons 715pm to 945pm, saturday go SPH, sunday do 校园笔记. simple right? haha. so my life has little special stuff to talk about now...

BTW, yesterday i went out with forest to shop for CNY clothes. sad to say, we couldn't find much clothes that we can choose from. well, of course there are a lot of clothes down at orchard, but we still need to consider both the design and price. and after considering these two important factors, it is equivalent to not having any choice. haiz... life is like that. so in the end i only managed to buy a jeans and a top, while forest only managed to get a demin skirt and a white top that she's afraid that she may quarantine it easily when she finds better clothes.

there is a high chance that i will have to go out and buy clothes again. lucky for the remaining sundays, i do not need to draw 校园笔记, as i've already finished drawing for the month. hehez...

 So Tired
9:39 PM
welcome to the world of the working adults. haiz... life is like that... for once i was dying because i couldn't find a job, now i was dying coz i got a job. really, all the while i know that money isn't that easy to earn. and now, after working for 3 days, i finally realise that money is indeed hard to earn. i'm really tired. maybe because my engine was down for too long a period that when i try to start it now, it couldn't give me enough power.

in addition, yesterday was the first japanese lesson that i took after i start working. it's damn tiring for me. i was stoning for majority of the time. haiz... ok, i wouldn't complain more for my own choice. it was expected for this to happen. maybe if i could just turn my body clock to sleep at 10pm everyday, things would have been better. today i didn't go out with the CFF people. surprized? haha... i was too tired. maybe i'll do that next week.

think i'll stop here. i wonder how many typo error have i made... i'm sleeping after i've finished drawing another 3 more 校园笔记. well, coz SPH is going on an early leave for CNY so i've to send in more.

btw, i've received notice that the A level results are going to be released on the 9th of February. that's fast... ... ...

 First day working
9:48 PM
phew... today i woke up at around 630am, even earlier then my brother. haha. well, i took my own sweet time to prepare myself. this is like the first official job i had in my whole life la. i'm like so damn nervious and really stressed. left my house at about 815am. according to my online research on the routes that i can take from my house to work, i realise the fastest way to get there is actually taking MRT to commonwealth and transfer 147, 196 or 198. all in all the total in-vehical time is only 24 mins. however, even i've taken into consideration a buffer time of 15 mins, i still reach my destined bus stop at 903am. and i am supposed to reach my company by 9am. shit, being late on the first day would be the last thing that i want it to happen on me. however, lucky thing is that my supervisor, Apple, isn't there yet. hehez. so maybe tomorrow i would have to leave house by 8am.

well, today is a damn stressed day. my company is the gateway for mobile content providers. don't understand? let me give a simple example. i'm sure you know that one of the many mobile serivces available is daily horoscope right? so this daily horoscope is called mobile contents. and the providers of these contents are normally (or all of them) based overseas. so in order to come into singapore, as in provide this service to singapore mobile holders, they will need a channel to do that. and my company is the platform for them. they would have to pass through us, then we will pass to the telecom, and then the telecom will send it to the users. ^_^ which means we are the prolocutor for the overseas content providers, and so we are in-charged of providing customer assistances to Singaporean users.

and my job is as a customer service officer, where i'll answer ALL enquires for all users of our company's content users. which means to say i'll have to know all the content provided, and how they work. so for today, i only get to know 3 big services, and there i am receiving and calling customers. T_T can you imagine how stressed am I? i'm SO NERVOUS! can die. then the worse part is when the costomers call in and scold the bloody hell out of you, because they claimed they didn't signed up for the serivce. -_-''' people, please don't get 'cheated' by this. in the first place, we won't activate the service unless you send a message of a certain keyword to activate the subscription. you don't want to pay then don't send that stupid message in the first place! btw, normally, they will indicate a price at the end of the message saying sgd2/sms. which means singapore dollar 2 per sms. AND if you receive any promotional message like "want to know your daily horoscope? messge your horoscope to ***** now! sgd2/sms. " don't get confused! the 'free message' does not mean the horoscope, it means the promotional message itself is free. now you know why the customer service officers kept getting scolded now? haha.

and i've to face all this on my first day lehz. haiz. nvm. majority of them will only require me to just terminate their service, which i can just unsubscribe for them through the system. there are of course more complicated cases where they will insist they aren't going to pay as they insisted they didn't apply for it... so that's for me to solve and for you to think what i have to do... hehez. 商业机密.

so that's basically my job. i still got a lot of other services to learn. tomorrow 加油!

 50th Post
11:49 PM
haha, just realize this is my 50th post. hehez.

anyway, today i woke up damn early. think at about 6am. it's been a long time since the last time i woke up at this time. well, this is because i'm waiting for a call from hillgrove at 7am to confirm whether i have to go relief teach. well, in the end they didn't call me, and i woke up at this time for nothing.

at about 9am plus, hillgrove called me, asking me whether i can relief teach tomorrow. ha ha. just the day when i will start working, and of course i said no. my brother told me that i'll have 90% of a chance to relief teach his class as a lot of his teachers are on MC. HA HA. sad to say, i can't do relief teaching for them. think i don't have affinity with his class. lolz.

so today, i had my 3rd japanese lesson. i reached orchard quite early, as i was thinking this might be the last time i can reach orchard early. from tomorrow onwards, i will be working from monday to friday, 9am to 6pm. i will need to travel at least 30 mins to reach orchard from my company. so the earliest i can reach orchard will only be 630pm, and i still need to gobble my food to rush for the japanese lesson that starts at 7pm. haha.

i'm quite nervious about tomorrow. think i'll sleep now to make sure i am at tip top condition tomorrow! hehez. good luck to me!

 I've Found A Job!
5:18 PM
Yeah! just this morning, recruit express called me. it's not david, but another girl from recruit express. it's the MNC that provides mobile contents, they are employing me! MUAHAHAHAHAHA! i was like SO happy la. yeah!!! it's a customer service officer, $7/hr and located at Alexandra road. think going down there is qutie ok for me la. now i don't care so much la, i got a job, and that's good enough for me. ^_^ i'm starting work this wednesday.

anyway, hillgrove secondary called me just now. they MIGHT need a relief teacher tomorrow. -_-''' well, since i'm only starting work on wednesday, i don't mind going to relief teach first. but they will only give me the answer like tomorrow 7am?! haiz. so i say ok lo. haha. yeah. today is a happy day.

 Busy Busy Busy
10:16 AM
after the meeting at SPH yesterday, i realize that it will be a very very busy year for me ahead. T_T i won't elaborate them here, but i just want to say that no matter what, i must find a job that can work during weekdays. or else my mum would kill me.

just now we had a slight arguement. she wants me to help her do stuff (as usual like typing some documents for her or teach my sister spelling), and i can't as i haven't even started sketching the 校园笔记 that i am suppose to hand in today! then she started saying that i'm always busy with my SPH stuff and 校园笔记, where do i find time to work? WTH. she's just not happy that i cant help her, and she's rubbing salt on the fact that i'm still unemployed. so i just say "if you don't want me to participate in SPH, just say it now, and i'll stop it now, and never do anything related to it ever again." she hesitated a bit, just says "you are old enough to think for yourself." and walks away. WTH. to her, every

hmmm, let me update a bit from where i've left. On thursday, there is another interview as a customer service officer after my SPH scholorship interview right? yap, so the interview went on quite smoothly. $7/hr, 9am - 6pm monday to friday, down at alexandra road. it's an MNC company specialize in providing mobile content serivces, like horoscopes etc. so my job is to be the customer service officer where i'll answer customers' enquires. i'll only know the result on monday, which is tomorrow. T_T

so on friday, i've 3 interviews, 2 of which clashes. the first job is introduced by forest. it is at the hospital that she is working at. well, $6/hr, and working 9am-6pm at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, down at Novena. went down for the interview in the morning. think it's quite ok la. but the problem is that the interviewer said she'll call me yesterday. but i didn't receive any calls. i've even rejected an interview to be a graphic designer yesterday, but end up i just put too much hope on it.

ok, then for the afternoons, i've two interviews that clashes. one is david's offer and the other is as a printer tester. after much consideration, i've decided to reject david's offer as a so-called graphic designer job at IEsingapore. however, upon calling david, he convinced me to go to that interview. haiz... for the printer tester interview, it is good that the person decides to give me another interview on monday, tomorrow, at 130pm. ^_^ back to the david's offer, sad to say, i'm definately not what they are looking for. they are looking for at least 12 months temp staff! go die la david, you sabotage me. so i go there, SO PAISEH LA! T_T haiz... david should thank that the interviewer looks quite handsome, or else i would have killed him for making me go down there. >_<

after the interviews, i was slacking at Bugis junction, killing time for my japanese lesson to start. japanese lessons is as fun as the last one. matsumoto sense is still as cute and funny. haha.

yesterday, saturday, is just another SPH day dealing with a lot of stuff. T_T

today, it is just another day for 校园笔记.

okz, after so many interviews, let me analyse on the jobs i have.
1) Telemarketeer @ Toa Payoh selling credit cards (rejected)
2) Customer Service @ Sindo Building Genting Lane, for bouquet and gifts company (unknown, they are supposed to call me for a training, however, after waiting for the whole week, i didn't even receive a call from them. so i don't know whether i should go down tomorrow to work)
3) Telemarketeer @ Panesula Plaza 27th storey (they didn't call me)
4) David's Offer as a 'graphics designer' (can i say i was rejected?)
5) Admin @ Yishun working till end of July. (I can't work till that long, so i reject coz need to sign contract for that period)
6) Printer Tester @ Harbour Side Industrial Building 2. (Haven't Interview)
7) Customer Service @ Mobile Content MNC. (Still Pending, tomorrow then know results)
8) Hospital Assistant @ Tan Tock Seng Hospital. (they didn't call me)

so, can i say that i still haven't find any jobs yet? T_T hey, if you all have read this, can you all help me decide whether i should go to work for the bouquet and gifts tomorrow or should i wait for the mobile contents MNC and go for the interview as a printer tester?

 Just finish SPH interview
11:58 AM
yo people. i'm now at SPH... i've just finished my interview for the sph scholorship. T_T personally think i don't know what i am talking about. just blabber my way through the whole interview... haiz... don't know whether i'll get it or not la. haiz... feeling depressed right now...

this morning, david called me. he says that the interview is postponed to tomorrow, same time. haiz... don't feel confident at all la. haiz... he tells me that i need to go do some 'homework'. i need to find out about the mission of the company, then see how can i make it's website better, and bla bla bla. also, i just need to know some basic html to work this. shit la. i know nothing lo. i just know how to make blog by copying some html codes lo. haiz... i don't feel like going for it lehz... haiz...

then while i was waiting for my turn for the interview, i received a call from june, another recruit express agent. she says that there is a customer service assistant position down at alexandra road, paying $7/hr. she says she is arranging the interview at 2pm today. so i think no harm trying la. haiz... looks like i really have to go lo. haiz... very sad lehz. don't know why i'm feeling depressed now. haiz...

sucky la. now i'm still deciding on whether to go down for the printer tester interview or the david recommended graphic designer interview tomorrow. haiz. WTH.

 Back from interview...
4:46 PM
phew... today is a tiring day. the interview for admin at yishun went on quite smoothly. well, it's a multi-task admin staff. as it is a small company specializing in ship air-conditioning service, one staff have to do a lot of things. basically my job as an admin include faxing, filing, issuing of PO, DO etc, data-entry, worker's punch card manager, office inventory checker, call manager, customer service bla bla bla. basically a combination of all admin work, plus a little bit more of logistics.

9am to 5pm, monday to friday, 9am to 12noon on saturday. so it is a 5.5days per week. there is a high possibility of having OT. salary based on monthly, if they want me then they will call me down for a second interview and tell me about the salary. OT charged at 1.5 times of the salary. they will require me to stay up till end of july. well, as the admin i am taking over is going on maternity leave. (her stomach is already quite big when i see her today). yap. this job is quite ok only. personally i still prefer the customer service job at the bouquet and gift company. think this job is too long a period. they require a signing of contract to ensure that you stay till the end of july, which may or may not clash with my university admission. so yah, i cant promise my commitment and they know it. so think they won't want me or what la. i still prefer the bouquet and gift company de. ^_^

later in the afternoon, i went to peninsula plaza for another interview as a telemarketeer. well, think this is the lousiest job that i have ever interviewed. they let me fill in a form (normal particulars form la) then the manager came out and 'interview' me. all she said was "basically your job is to call people in for interview la. so the work will start at february. i still have other candidates to interview, so i'll get back to you for a briefing if you are recruited. so yah, you wait for my call la! bye!" end of interview. stupid la. made me fly 27 storeys up the building till i want to vomit. waliew. even if they want me i also don't want them lo. everyday sit the lift up and down for 27 storeys i don't puke also die liao. haiz.

then i made my way back to bukit batok. on my way, another company called me for an interview as a printer tester. yah, my job is to test printer. haha. think i found this in the newspaper so i just send my resume lo. lolz. well, the person asked me to go down for interview this friday at 130pm. it's at harbour front that side. think need to take 188 down.

when i reach bb mrt, another call came in asking me to go for interview. it's for the job of a graphic designer. the job scope for that is that i'll be designing advertisement for big company. the job is paid by per project, depending on the difficulty of the project. my boss will throw me the contact number of the client and let me liaise with the client myself. i can work at home and need not report to the office at all. in addition, i will also have to liaise with the printing company itself to ensure the quality of production of my advertisement. the clients are mostly companies like LG, TAKA jewellery etc. yah, big big companies la.

so the person wants to meet me down at Seng Kang mrt NOW!!!! shitty la. people just reach bukit batok from cityhall mrt then you ask me go seng kang. so i told him that i'll consider. personally, i think this job is ok. however, i think i am not up to the job la. i think there are plenty of good artist outside to draw the advertisement. i'm already not very confident of myself to draw really nice drawings, much less say earn money through drawing. besides, i am definitely not equipped to liaise with the client. i don't know the market price, i don't know the market situation, i know nothing la. this job may be what i want, but i'm not up to it la. besides, i also don't want to go all the way down to seng kang mrt. so yah, i rejected it. haha...

after my day's agenda end, i went home. so now blogging. haha. by the way, i've received a call from the admin position at yishun just now. yah, while i'm typing my blog. they want me to go down for an interview tomorrow at 230pm! tomorrow i'm already packed with SPH schlorship interview in the morning and graphic designer interview (recommended by david de) in the afternoon. so i tell them i couldn't make it. upon some arrangement, they told me to go down at 9am on friday. oh man. like i've mentioned just now, i prefer the customer serive at bouquet and gift company de. then i've already tried to say i can't on thursday (a bit obvious like finding excuses liao) but they still give me an interview on friday. haiz. nvm la. think the most important interview is tomorrow. and by this friday, i would have to decide which job i want liao. by the way, i've already reject the telemarketeer job (the one selling credit cards through phone de).
[some words are better left as my secret]

 Hajimemashite!
7:53 AM
yesterday, after my call from ocarina, i set off to the interview at Genting lane.

before i set off, i've received a call from SPH! not about my student correspondent club thing, but about the sph scholarship! they asked me to go for the first interview this thursday at 10am! YEAH!!!!! OMG, i thought the sph people will no longer bother about my application maybe until my a level results come out! OMG! hahaha... though i am quite nervous about that, i think i still give it a try. no harm yeah?

ok, so i continue to set off to genting lane. well, took me about 1 hour on bus, not including waiting time. i have to take bus 66 to macperson road and transfer to 125 and alight at Tannery Road. haiz, long journey. however, i personally felt that the job is quite ok. it's a customer service job whereby i will be in-charged of answering calls from clients and answer to their enquires. the company specializes in bouquet and gifts, so i'll be also in-charged of taking down orders. at some times, a little telemarketing may be required, but that's not the main part of my job.

$6/hr, 9am to 6pm mondays to fridays, sometimes may need to come back on saturday from 9am to 12noon depending on the rotating of shifts. during peak period, there may be a need to do OT. though the rate for OT is still $6/hr, the company will call in dinner for the staff, and if it is later than 9pm, transport fares will be reimbursed. sounds quite good yeah? think the only bad thing about this job, other than the distance, is the fact that the job only last until 28th of february.

hmmm... that's quite short. however, i think if you have good performance there, they might ask you to stay. that's what the recruit agents told me. well, ocarina told me that the job she offered me does not have any extensions. so i don't know whether should i try this short term job... maybe i'll consider...

then after that, i went home to help my mum type my uncle's resume. on my way, david called me saying that he had sent my resume to be a graphic designer. then the interview for that is on thursday 230pm. (thursday again) looks like it's going to be a busy day for me on thurday. he had also sent me the job requirements and what should i bring. to my horror, i've found out that the company requires general diploma students that requires web portal knowledge and bla bla bla. think i'm furthest away from the candidate that they want to find. furthermore, it's a goverment organization, IEsingapore lehz. hello? me? go there? waliew, david you sabotarge me la.

i called david immediately and tell him the problem. he said that he told the people there about me with experiences of only drawing comics and bla bla bla (just a read off from my resume of what i can do), but they still want to interview me. so david says just give it a try la. waliew... die la. give what try? i don't even qualify a single stuff down there la. let them shoot me questions that i all say don't know? so paiseh. T_T haiz, looks like i really have to go there on thursday.

later in the evening, i went for my FIRST JAPANESE LESSON! so cool la! haha. ohayo! hajimemashite! watashi wa shirai desu. dozo yoroshiku! watashi wa shingaporu jin desu. anata mo shingaporu jin desu ka? haha! simple things to learn but so fun la! my jap teacher is matsumoto sense! she is so funny and cartoon la. really enjoyed her lessons! ^_^ of course there are homeworks to do. we are like primary school kids practising penmanship when we are writing the japanese hiragana, one of the japanese writing scripts. there are 3 different japanese writing scripts, but hiragata is the most important and commonly used script.

today i've got another 2 interviews to go. one is 10am at yishun for an admin job, and the other is 230pm at peninsula plaza for a telemarkteer job. T_T let's go see which is better ba!

 Another Interview today
9:59 AM
just now, ocarina just called me. she says her company is looking for temporary admin clerk for the period 6th February to 26th February. unknown salary and working hours. really THANK YOU ocarina! i'm so grateful that she helps me to keep a look out of the jobs available. ^_^ however, i think the period is too short. it's like if you want me to choose between this and the telemarketeer's job, i would choose the latter. well, the telemarketeer's job would mean i don't have to look for any more jobs before my admission to Uni, but for the admin clerk, i have to. so, thanks anyway orcarina. i really really appreciate that. :)

so for today, i'm going down all the way to Genting lane for an interview as a Customer Service officer. think the only think i don't like about this job is that i've to travel over an hour just to reach there. nevermind, i'll go and check it out...

 Went for an interview today
6:59 PM
just this morning, i've received a call from one of the companys that i've sent my resume to to go for an interview today. haha. it's for a telemarketeer job down at toa payoh.

then just before i set off, i've received another call from recruit express. it's not david, but another agent by the name tong. well, i didn't realize that i've send my resume to recruit express, but nvm la. she wants to interview me so i'll have to go down after my interview for the telemarketeer job.

so for that, i went down to the office. the name of the company is Abacus Investment. my job is to do telesales, and selling credit cards. yap, yvon it's your rival. haha. the working hours are 9am to 7pm, monday to thursday, and 9am to 6pm on friday. basic pay is $1200 with commission depending on our performance. during training periods, i'll will only be paid a training allowance of $30 per day, and the training period depends on my learning speed. they have also agreed to allow me to leave at 630pm on tuesday, with half an hour less from my lunch break, so that i can attend my japanese lessons on tuesday at 715pm. sounds quite nice. the only thing about it is that you have sales target to meet EVERYDAY. so everyday's gonna be damn stress kind in the office. my training will commence on next monday. so for now, i still can consider whether i want to work there. heard from my brother that telemarketing is a damn bad experience for him. not sure what but i'll discuss with my mother tonight.

by the way, if anyone is interested in working as this job, they still have vacancies so just tell me then i direct you all there.

then after that, i went down to ngee ann city's recruit express. lucky it's another branch of recruit express in ngee ann city, so i wont meet david. think it will be damn paiseh to let my job agent find me looking for another job agent. haha. but the more job agent i have, i would mean more chances for me right? see who can job match me first ba.

yapz, nothing much liao. now i'm sending more resumes. tomorrow i'll have another interview as a customer service officer. hope the working condition is better. hehez.

OH! my jap lessons start tomorrow! i'm so excited about it! ^_^

 Miscellanea
6:50 PM
well, still haven't got a job. However I've got an interview for as a telemarketeer coming Thursday.

On Friday i went to IKEA with my mother to get a new sofa. Our 2 seater at home has one big hole already! so we really had to get a new one. IKEA's having really cheap sofas now. there is this red sofa for only $149 and black sofa bed for only $199. after considering the colours that can suit our living room, we decided to get the black sofa bed (well, there is only one colour for cheap sofas). Anyway, it will be delivered to our house on the 17th this month.

Then after that, I went to meet joy as she've made some agar agar for me! YEAH! it's really really delicious!!! oh my god, joy, really, next time got any testing of food to do i would be really glad to do that for you! haha..

later in the evening, after my sister is back from school, we went to my grandmother's house. well, my sister misses her 3 months old cousin. normally, we will visit my grandmother on a weekend. however, my aunt would bring the baby out to her mother's house for the weekend, which means my sister can't see the baby! haiz. so, we've decided to go on friday, where the baby will be at my grandmother's house. we had a nice talk with everybody over at my grandmother's house. we sat on the table, eating my grandmother's delicious dishes and drinking red wine till late. think we went home at about 12midnight? yah, it's just quite late.

so when we reached home, our new maid had already slept. my new maid's name is called Siti. well, it's quite difficult for me to communicate with her as her english really CMI. but the most disturbing problem is that she... she has... she has BO. and i share the same room with her. after i reached home from my grandmother's house, I opened my room... ... ... and closed it... ... ... then i went to tell my brother. he came over and opened my room... ... and closed it too... ... ... then he said "good luck to you" and went to sleep. didn't know how i survive every night. did i really fall asleep or fainted?

anyway, saturday, I went to SPH as usual. there is a meeting for chu ban. it's BORING. it's also the collection date for donation items. we are having a donation drive for Mary Mount this year. it is a single parent child care centre where the children will reside at the centre and the parent will only visit on weekends. the funding of Mary Mount is based solely donation. so, SPH's student correspondent club has decided to adopt the organization.

On the 11th of february, there will be a fancy fair where we will sell all the donated items at very low prices. All revenues will be donated to Mary Mount. though there is only a few people reading my blog, i still ask those who have read this to try to come down to SPH on that day to buy some stuff that you like. of course, there is not only second hand items, there are also limited edition CDs to buy, or what ever stuff (you see, SPH gets a lot of free CDs as listening samples, haha) so come down on that day!!!

ok, back to saturday. it's the collection date that day. and i've also asked my family to give donate some sellable stuff. we have an old computer and a lot of comics (from my brother). so, my mum went to borrow a van to drive the stuff to SPH. yap, so i went to SPH early for a boring meeting first, then i'll get the stuff from my mum there. who knows, my mum not only brought the stuff to SPH, she brought an additional package - my sister. T_T sad to say, my sister's sticking with me throughout the rest of the day.

yap, so i went out with 3 of the older people of CFF - clever, wilson and sam for dinner, with my sister too of course. lucky the 3 of htem are great entertainers for my sister. so generally, my sister also had fun. lolz.

today, send another tonnes of resume. oh PLEASE! at least give me an opportunity to have an interview. T_T yap, then drew 校园笔记. it's so hard to draw this time's XYBJ. there is a lot of details. >_< nvm, treat it as a form of training.

 Still... unemplyed...
9:22 PM
i've sent millions of resume out, may god bless me...

just now, David from recruit express called me. well, did i mentioned about him here? ok, so let's talk about him ba...

so N years ago, when i was still a maid and it was just shortly after my graduation night, my brother's friend was looking for lucido.l promoter for weekends, $8.50 per hour at bugis. i think that was great as i could just do housework duirng weekdays and work during weekends, so i applied for it. i typed my resume out and send it to my borhter's friend. in the end, it directed to Recruit Express's David.

this is because my borther's friend is actually helping David out of kindness to find people to get jobs in recruit express. in the end, lucido.l didn't want me, and david decides to be my job agent - to help me find jobs. but sad to say, i couldn't give him any promise on the jobs that i can work. at that time, i was a maid who could only work once a week, or start working only on january. plus i was still a pending candidate for my SPH schlorship (though till now i'm still of an unknown status) so he offered me many jobs but i couldn't take. in the end, his offers start to decline, and till zero.

i thought he gave up on offering me jobs. Though i was urgently looking for a job now, i didn't want to 厚着脸皮 to find him. after troubling him during my maid period, it's quite embarassing to still ask him to help me. however, it was such a coincidence that he called me today, and he offered me a job. it's as a temp graphic designer! of course i'll say yes to anything. haha. so he sent my resume to the company.

another hope for me. may it not be an empty hope...

oh, by the way, i've forgot to mention about the real reason why i didn't want to work with the MLM thing. where do you think the company get so much money to pay it's workers? upon reaching the highest position, you are paid a commission of 40%. other than your commission, the sale of one product has to feed a lot of levels of people. which means to say, in fact, about 70% or more of the price of the product is used to pay everyone. in addition, you still have the production cost to cover. after everything, the remaining will ONLY be the company's profit. how will a company survive if it has such high cost to maintain? the only conclusion i can draw is that the product cost is only less than 5% of the selling price. and these all make sense! you get paid such high wage because you are exploiting the consumers' money!!! regardless of whether the product is really beneficial to the consumer or not, i think it is morally and ethically unacceptable to sell at such prices. if you think that it's perfectly ok to earn this kind of money, fine. ignts.

 MLM
8:53 PM
just now i went for a job interview. MJ introduced me there. i really thought it would be the best job that i will be getting, but who knows things aren't what i've expected in there... it's a MLM business. those who don't know what it is, let me just explain a bit of it here...

MLM is multi-level marketing. it works with a marketing strategy called Networking. put it in a simple manner, you will have to sell products, normally health products. you sell them, you get commission. however, it is not only about sales. upon reaching a certain sales target, you will get 'promoted', whereby your commission will increase and you are allowed to have downlines, which means to say you can get your friends in to help you sell the products. and not only will your friends get commission like you do before, you will also get overwrite from what they sell, which is normally the difference between your commission and your friends'.

for example, you earn a 5% commission before promotion, 10% after promotion, and your friends come in as your down lines earning 5% commission. so whenever your friends sell a product, they will get the 5% commission and you as their 'head' will earn another 10%-5%=5% overwrite of the product they sell. in other words, you earn money without doing anything.

of course, when your downlines sell enough to get you promoted, you earn higher commissions, which means higher overwrites. this process can be accelerated when your downlines sell enough to get themselves promoted, and they themselves have downlines, and their downlines keep selling and promoting and get new downlines, and your money keeps rolling in.

sound tempting? you might be thinking it is the easiest way to earn quick BIG money. coz normally, the products are REAL expensive, $2000 plus... so calculate the commission and all the overwrites you get. you'll get rich in no time... well, not to forget one thing, you are a downline yourself. someone must have introduced you to this business in the first place. you see, you want quick money, so you put in damn lots of effort to get lots and lots of downlines and earn big big bucks. but your 'head' will be there shaking his leg and counting the money that you've earned for him, without doing anything. what's worse, your 'head' is also a donwline. feels bad? think that it is not fair? you are doing it yourself. think about having your friends as your downlines. do you feel good? having to have your own friends sweat for you?

i hate this. you can say that i'm stupid for giving up the opportunity to earn quick BIG cash. so what if i can earn so much money? on an individual view, it would only mean that i'll only suffer at the beginning stage, and after that, money will keep rolling in. but do you know what those money mean? it will mean your downlines are suffering, and you are earning money coz of their sufferings. and the more people who suffers, the more money you have. that sounds so wonderful isn't it?

i'm not against this system. it is perfectly logical that you get overwrites when your downlines earn, coz in some ways you gave them the opportunity to come in here and earn money, and you also provide them the training on how to sell the product. however, it gets irritatingly disgusting when you depend solely on your downlines for money, which means to say you don't sell the products yourself anymore. i personally think that MLM will work if everybody do the selling, and not only the newbies who struggle to get themselves promoted. but who will want to work when you can get free money? this is stupid.

so today, upon knowing the nature of my job, i have decided to not take the job. say i'm stupid. yes maybe... there is a 18 years old guy over there who could afford sports car but still getting a driving license. and a 21 year old girl who is in university now and with rolling income while doing nothing except for studying. she's driving a sports car by the way. so? do you think this can last forever?
