 Hajimemashite!
7:53 AM
yesterday, after my call from ocarina, i set off to the interview at Genting lane.

before i set off, i've received a call from SPH! not about my student correspondent club thing, but about the sph scholarship! they asked me to go for the first interview this thursday at 10am! YEAH!!!!! OMG, i thought the sph people will no longer bother about my application maybe until my a level results come out! OMG! hahaha... though i am quite nervous about that, i think i still give it a try. no harm yeah?

ok, so i continue to set off to genting lane. well, took me about 1 hour on bus, not including waiting time. i have to take bus 66 to macperson road and transfer to 125 and alight at Tannery Road. haiz, long journey. however, i personally felt that the job is quite ok. it's a customer service job whereby i will be in-charged of answering calls from clients and answer to their enquires. the company specializes in bouquet and gifts, so i'll be also in-charged of taking down orders. at some times, a little telemarketing may be required, but that's not the main part of my job.

$6/hr, 9am to 6pm mondays to fridays, sometimes may need to come back on saturday from 9am to 12noon depending on the rotating of shifts. during peak period, there may be a need to do OT. though the rate for OT is still $6/hr, the company will call in dinner for the staff, and if it is later than 9pm, transport fares will be reimbursed. sounds quite good yeah? think the only bad thing about this job, other than the distance, is the fact that the job only last until 28th of february.

hmmm... that's quite short. however, i think if you have good performance there, they might ask you to stay. that's what the recruit agents told me. well, ocarina told me that the job she offered me does not have any extensions. so i don't know whether should i try this short term job... maybe i'll consider...

then after that, i went home to help my mum type my uncle's resume. on my way, david called me saying that he had sent my resume to be a graphic designer. then the interview for that is on thursday 230pm. (thursday again) looks like it's going to be a busy day for me on thurday. he had also sent me the job requirements and what should i bring. to my horror, i've found out that the company requires general diploma students that requires web portal knowledge and bla bla bla. think i'm furthest away from the candidate that they want to find. furthermore, it's a goverment organization, IEsingapore lehz. hello? me? go there? waliew, david you sabotarge me la.

i called david immediately and tell him the problem. he said that he told the people there about me with experiences of only drawing comics and bla bla bla (just a read off from my resume of what i can do), but they still want to interview me. so david says just give it a try la. waliew... die la. give what try? i don't even qualify a single stuff down there la. let them shoot me questions that i all say don't know? so paiseh. T_T haiz, looks like i really have to go there on thursday.

later in the evening, i went for my FIRST JAPANESE LESSON! so cool la! haha. ohayo! hajimemashite! watashi wa shirai desu. dozo yoroshiku! watashi wa shingaporu jin desu. anata mo shingaporu jin desu ka? haha! simple things to learn but so fun la! my jap teacher is matsumoto sense! she is so funny and cartoon la. really enjoyed her lessons! ^_^ of course there are homeworks to do. we are like primary school kids practising penmanship when we are writing the japanese hiragana, one of the japanese writing scripts. there are 3 different japanese writing scripts, but hiragata is the most important and commonly used script.

today i've got another 2 interviews to go. one is 10am at yishun for an admin job, and the other is 230pm at peninsula plaza for a telemarkteer job. T_T let's go see which is better ba!
